Heading into fall, I have lots of music stuff coming up that I am excited about. I’m also excited about staying home and not traveling for a while. Fall is my favorite season, even when it doesn’t quite feel like fall yet on the California central coast.
New Song Released
I released a new song (!). It’s available now on spotify, apple, everywhere else, etc. I wrote this one way back in 2016. I remember finishing it the day before hosting a house show, where I really wanted to play a new song. Over the next few years I attempted to record it several times, but was never happy with the results. I even posted a demo on this substack back in 2022.

This recording was made mostly at Middle Ridge Studios in Parkfield. Bassist Kirk MacLane and I tracked the basics of it live together with engineer Cian Hamilton back in November of last year. Later drums were added by Paul Griffith, lead guitar by Ben Walden, electric piano by Ross Major and harmonies by Meredith Hobbs Coons and Chloe Smith. It was mixed by Cian, and mastered by Kirk. I’m very happy with how it came out. There’s more music on the way, so stay tuned.
